True Cost is built to collect as little as possible: no accounts in this version, no database of your numbers, and optional analytics if the deploy sets a measurement ID; calculator inputs still stay in the browser.
What runs in your browser
Calculator inputs stay in your browser so the page can update totals. They are not sent to a True Cost backend, because this deployment is static HTML and client-side scripts only.
If you bookmark the site or let your browser save form data, that storage is under your device and browser settings, not something we operate.
Hosting and logs
Whoever hosts the files (you, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, etc.) may keep ordinary server logs (URLs requested, rough timing, IP addresses), as any static site does. Check their privacy policy for retention and regions.
Cookies and third parties
This build does not set functional cookies for True Cost. Fonts load from Google Fonts when you use the site; their privacy terms apply to that request. You may self-host fonts later if you want fewer third-party calls.
Changes
If analytics, accounts, or newsletters are added later, this page will be updated before those features ship, and you will be able to see what changed in the repository history.
